Why are you involved in PTA?:  I saw first hand during my years volunteering for Boy’s Hope (now Boy’s Hope Girl’s Hope) that if children were given opportunities, regardless of their background, they very much could reach their full potential.  PTA was not only a way to be engaged within my own children’s education but a way to continue working to make positive impact on all children’s lives.

Season:  Summer

Entertainment (Book, Movie, TV, Band, Music):  I just finished the Outlander Series and my son wants me to read Schrodinger’s What is Life? But I’m thinking next up will be After Alice by Gregory Maguire who is my favorite author

What are you learning this year:  I learned (painfully) that I am severely allergic to poison Ivy and my nephew tried to teach me how to dive through the waves in the ocean but I did not master the technique.

What is a goal you have this year?:  Run the Biltmore Marathon

What is a proud accomplishment?:  Was MOPTA state president ?

I have been part of the NPTA Field Service committee this year and it has been both interesting and a wonderful experience.
