My name is Lexis Wade, but I usually go by Lex nowadays, and I am 16 years old. I attend Truman High School and I’m a Sophomore. I have always had an interest in astronomy, math, and engineering, and I hope to go into the engineering field. I want to attend MIT and eventually work for NASA’s Aerospace Engineering field! I am a total bookworm and a definite nerd. My favorite kind of books include fantasy, and science writings. Two of my favorite scientists are Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking (rest in peace to both). Both of these men have greatly influenced my life and my love of science, and they are an inspiration of mine to this day. I hope to also be an inspiration eventually, and am part of as many clubs as I can to help make a difference. I’ve recently joined my school’s Gay Straight Alliance, and I am planning a convention for October! PTA has always been a part of my life and I am so happy to be a part of the Board of Managers this year! PTA has been a large part of my life, and I’ve been a part of many events. I’ve attended 4 PTA Conventions, and 5 Founder’s Day Breakfasts one of which I had the honor of speaking at. Through PTA and my other clubs I hope to get more kids involved.
