Reflections Chair – Doty Hoffman

Your Name:  Doty Hoffman

MoPTA Board of Managers Position:  Reflections Chair

Years Involved in Board of Managers:  Working on year 2

What does your position do?:  Each state PTA participates in the National PTA Reflections program, I help educate local units about the program and facilitate the contest at the state level.

Unit/Council, Region & Years Involved:  Shoal Creek PTA, Liberty Council, Pony Express Region, going on 6 years now (since my eldest daughter started Kindergarten)

Why are you involved in PTA?:  I became involved in PTA because I wanted to with all my being be the voice for kiddos who don’t typically have one. I learned a long time ago that involvement in PTA is not just for my kiddo, but who they read with in the classroom, play with on the playground and sit next to at the lunch table. PTA is an association that for a very long time has prioritized the needs of kids in our schools. I have always been excited to rally around those who will shape the future and embrace their importance.
