What does your position do?: Take care of matters in the office, respond to emails, answer phone calls
Unit/Council, Region & Years Involved: 13+ years of involvement – multiple positions in Blue Ridge PTA (Columbia), Lange Middle School PTSA and Columbia Council PTA – Heritage Region
Why are you involved in PTA?: My parents are my role models. They were actively involved in PTA and other volunteer activities, so I wanted to give that to my children. It started being about my kids. Now it is about all children. I believe we make a difference in the lives of our children and their schoolmates by creating and supporting the school culture.
Favorites:
Food/Drink: Water (I drink a lot of it). I really like spinach.
Season: Fall – it’s usually cooler and I love the colors of the leaves on the trees
Entertainment (Book, Movie, TV, Band, Music): not much time for entertainment with my busy work and volunteer schedule. I like non-fiction books, happy movies, have been known to binge watch BBC shows, live bands with friends and listen to country music and old rock.
Activities/Hobbies: Volunteer addiction keeps me focusing on any hobbies or activities.
