Getting to Know Amy
Why do you believe PTA is important: It builds a relationship between parents, teachers and schools to advocate for children in multiple ways.
Why did you get involved in PTA: When my oldest child entered Kindergarten, I wanted to be involved in his school so that I was not only familiar with his teacher but also the administration, the support staff and other parents. Over the last 7 years, I have been part of an amazing team and feel that PTA has been a huge factor in building strong relationships between our families, the school and our community.
What do you do on the Board of Managers: As the Information Technology Chair, I am responsible for the MOPTA website.
Advice to others: “Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.” ~ William James
Family: Married, two children.
Favorite Food: Pie… no preference, I pretty much like them all.
