Spring is here and with it has come the signs that go with it. Trees have bud and flowers have sprung up all around us. Spring is a sign of renewal, the same goes with PTA. We are busy training new leaders or returning leaders. I hope that you were able to join us at the Leadership Conference; Peace, Love & PTA. It was a groovy time!! As well we held the Reflections showcase. It is always amazing for me to see the talent. I am in awe of there creativity. Thanks to all the units and councils that provide this program to the students in their district. We appreciate you!

Be on the look out for upcoming opportunities for trainings at Regional Conferences, or Schools of Information. Missouri PTA is committed to seeing that our volunteers are professional trained volunteers. All you have to do is plan to attend training near you!

Missouri PTA is also working on training materials that are delivered right to your door. The Summer Packet is being prepared for delivery in the middle of July. Presidents please remember that you are the only one to receive these materials. It is your responsibility to disseminate these materials to the appropriate officer or chairperson.

Don’t forget to wrap up the year by updating procedure books, and planning time for the outgoing and incoming officers to meet and exchange that information. Finish the annual financial reports (year end), annual financial review (audit), and certainly last but not least, go ahead and file those taxes at the end of your fiscal year. It is never too early to get the job done. In fact, it is easy to forget months after those items have been completed to file, and send a copy of each of those to the state office.
